Charles Guigon (1807–1882) Venice, the Church of Santa Maria della Salute, oil on canvas, 105 × 154 cm Provenance: the Eynard Collection. Acquired by Jean-Gabriel Eynard at the Rath Museum Exhibition on 15 August 1834. Jean-Jacques Rigaud mentions this work in *Les Beaux-Arts à Genève*: “When visiting the fine home of Mr Eynard-Lullin, one sees […] two fine views of Venice, masterpieces by Guigon”.
