Albert Marquet (1875–1947) Village House, oil on cardboard, signed, 16 × 21 cm. On the reverse: a certificate, signed by Pierre Courthion (1902–1988), authenticating the work as by the master’s hand and dating it to the painter’s early years (circa 1897), and a stamp from the Chapron stationery shop, Coquelin, 84, rue de Seine. This work has not been submitted to the Wildenstein Plattner Institute.
