Louis PAOLOZZI (1921–2011) Dry Bar Cabinet, c. 1955 A rare bar cabinet in wood and plywood, produced by René Godfrid, featuring a rectangular structure resting on four tapered legs. The front opens via two asymmetrical sliding panels, one featuring a geometric perforated design, the other lacquered black. The interior reveals storage compartments as well as a sliding tray lined with black laminate, allowing it to be used as a serving trolley. The triangular-cut side panels are one of the distinctive features of the formal vocabulary developed by Louis Paolozzi in the mid-1950s. France, circa 1955.
