OMEGA, Speedmaster ‘Mark 4.5’ Ref. 176.0012 No. 39197053 Circa 1975 Stainless steel wrist chronograph. Tonneau-shaped case, screw-down caseback, signed. Black dial, luminescent hour markers, two sub-dials, 12-hour totaliser and small seconds, 24-hour indicator, windows for date and day of the week, tachymeter scale on the flange, signed. Calibre 1045 automatic movement, signed. Steel bracelet (aftermarket). Diameter 45 mm Launched in 1974, the reference 176.0012 remained in production until 1986. The example shown here, produced around 1975, is one of the earliest series to be released. Nicknamed ‘Mark 4.5’, this model combines a Mark IV case with a Mark V movement. Movement and chronograph function (start / stop / reset) operational at the time of writing this catalogue. Servicing required. The day-of-the-week disc is stuck. Case shows signs of wear.
