Damage to the frame. Frame: 67 x 77.5 cm Without frame: 50.5 x 62 cm Henri Rolland (1891–1923), who was convicted in his day of artistic forgery, appears to have been one of the most prolific forgers of Monticelli forgeries and was mentioned as such in the book *Les faux Monticelli*
