Description
A Louis XVI-style cabriolet armchair with a medallion backrest in moulded beech, carved and lacquered in grey with blue undertones, resting on four tapered, fluted and scrolled legs. 18th century. Marked by Pierre-Adrien Dupain, who became a Master in 1772, with the guild mark of the Master Cabinetmakers.
Included is a Louis XVI period armchair of a similar design, in moulded, carved wood lacquered in the same colour, with a medallion backrest and tapered, fluted legs.
Back upholstery. Restorations and reinforcements.
