Large circular glazed earthenware dish with a blue design on a white background depicting a mouse watching over three sleeping cats, accompanied by the maxim ‘Do not wake a sleeping cat’. Signed "E. Gallé Nancy" on the reverse. Circa 1880. Small chips of glaze on the rim.
