Based on the dioptric theory of Mr Euler the Elder and made accessible to all craftsmen in this field by Mr Nicolas Fuss. Including a description of a microscope which may be regarded as the finest of its kind and which is capable of producing any magnification desired. St Petersburg: Academy Press; Press of the Sciences, 1774. In-4°, 10 unnumbered pages (Preface), 83 pages and 2 folded plates at the end (Complete). Stiff vellum binding, faded and slightly warped. Water stains at the corners throughout the volume; the edges of the plates are creased and yellowed.
