Description
‘KNOT’ BROOCH Diamonds A brooch depicting a knot of coiled ribbons, in the Art Deco style, crafted from white gold and platinum, entirely set with old-cut and eight-eight-cut diamonds, accented with baguette-cut diamonds, and centred on a brilliant-cut diamond in a closed-set setting. The central diamond weighs approximately 0.50 carats. French craftsmanship, white gold and platinum; eagle’s head hallmark (gold) and dog’s head hallmark (platinum); master’s mark illegible. Circa 1930. Height: 2.6 cm — Length: 5.6 cm — Gross weight: 17.3 g. Condition: safety chain and safety pin in yellow gold added at a later date.
