Retro — gold and diamonds
A rectangular, Retro-style plaque brooch in yellow gold, with the ends curled into scrolls; the centre features a geometric design set with thirteen old-cut diamonds arranged in rows and tiers.
Thirteen old-cut diamonds, total estimated weight approximately 2.5 carats.
French craftsmanship, 18-carat yellow gold (750 ‰); eagle’s head hallmark. Master’s mark attributed to Henri Vautravers (initials HV, symbol of the sign of Cancer, 92 rue de Turenne, Paris, engraved on 8 February 1928). Circa 1940.
