CARTIER ‘Turtle’ brooch in yellow gold and emeralds A brooch depicting a turtle, the domed shell crafted from twisted yellow gold wires in an openwork pattern, entirely set with round emeralds in claw settings. The head, legs and tail are in guilloché-finished amati gold; the eyes are set with two sapphire cabochons. Double pin on the reverse. Made in France. 18-carat yellow gold (750 ‰); eagle’s head hallmark. Signed Cartier; master’s hallmark. Numbered 015868 and 37275. Circa 1960. Height: 3.7 cm — Width: 2 cm — Gross weight: 14.63 g.
