Lacquered and cloisonné box with a floral design, burgundy red
A round, domed box in burgundy red lacquer (or lacquered metal), the lid decorated with a painted design depicting a bouquet of flowers (peonies, irises) and foliage in shades of aqua, yellow and blue. The joint between the lid and the base is highlighted by a blue and gold beaded frieze.
