An imposing male figure depicted standing in the samabhanga posture, with a powerful torso and a face radiating serenity. The deity wears a tall cylindrical headdress, encircled by a diadem richly adorned with geometric motifs, characteristic of classical Khmer sculpture.
The face, with broad, regular features, has almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, slightly outlined lips and a calm, introspective expression. The elongated earlobes emphasise the sacred nature of the depiction.
The figure is clad in a short sampot with particularly remarkable decoration, whose vertical folds and engraved motifs demonstrate great mastery of the sculptural craft. The central part of the garment is rendered with a graphic refinement that is highly characteristic of Angkorian art.
The deity was originally quadrimorphic/quadribrachial, as indicated by the various arms, which are now partially damaged. The absence of attributes makes it difficult to identify the figure with absolute certainty, but the general morphology, the hairstyle and the treatment of the garment are highly consistent with a representation of Vishnu.
The sculpture has long-standing losses to the arms and hands, as well as evidence of an earlier restoration or consolidation at the base. The patina and general wear are consistent with an ancient work that has endured the ravages of time.
