Description
Traditional Pewter Art
A set of antique tableware and utensils made from solid pewter, comprising 11 charming pieces:
- A complete set of 7 cylindrical measuring jugs with flat handles, ranging from the largest (probably the
litre or half-litre) down to the miniature measuring just a few centilitres.
- A very elegant baluster-shaped jug with a tapered neck and a curved handle. Made in France.
- A straight-sided jug, a more understated design with a slightly flared neck and a flat, geometric handle,
made in France.
- A broth bowl (or wedding cup) featuring two pretty openwork handles in a scroll pattern.
- A round dish (or serving plate) featuring old-style initials engraved on the rim (N • F •
B), lending the piece a magnificent historical charm.
In good overall condition. There are a few very slight distortions or signs of wear.
