Description
A blackened wooden ‘Ox-Eye’ clock with a scalloped case. The central dial is made of alabaster (?), flanked by white enamel medallions painted with blue Roman numerals. The back is decorated with gilded brass trim featuring a motif of an antique vase, surmounted by floral scrolls, foliage and a bird at the top. Hands in chiselled and openwork steel. Circa 1862–1880 H62xL50cm
