Bavarian Model 1886 helmet belonging to an officer of the ‘Leib Regiment’ Guard or one of the four pioneer battalions. Made of patent leather. Fluted crest adorned at the base with a frieze of pearls, with a four-lobed base secured by four stars, a ring, a Model 1886 plate bearing the Bavarian coat of arms, flat-scale chinstraps lined with leather, in silver-plated brass (showing signs of wear).
