ENGLAND, George III period (1795-1820) Pair of British flintlock double pistols.
Damascus rifled barrels with superimposed sides, engraved on the upper side "Prosser Charing Cross London", with stirrup-mounted ramrod. Signed "Prosser" locks and flat bodied hammers, spark arrestor basins, wheel battery springs, safeties to the rear of the hammers. Iron trigger guard engraved with military attributes. Oval, hallmarked silver cap engraved with palms. Gold embellished lights. Walnut stocks, fitted with a removable stock attachment on the back. With removable walnut stock. Oval silver thumb pieces engraved with an English count crown.
Duty mark: George III, date mark "O" and silversmith's mark "IP".
