Description
Marion Cadet L’ENTRAIDE Oil on canvas Round format One-off piece Diameter 1 m ‘L’Entraide’ forms part of the artist’s ongoing exploration of laughter and femininity: one subject, one objective. The design is deliberately simple, clear and colourless to get to the heart of the matter, without discourse or language barriers. This one-metre tondo, conceived as a format that is easy to carry and almost cuddle, depicts her son’s hand and her own. The hand held, the hand extended to others, becomes a universal gesture of gentleness, tenderness and comfort, echoing the support provided by the Baroudeurs de l’Espoir to children.
