THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE
Digital photograph retouched in Photoshop
Photograph printed on Dibond, centre-hung
50 x 70 cm
Taken during the summer of 2025 whilst on a road trip of nearly 9,000 km between San
Francisco and Chicago, this photograph explores the notion of freedom at the heart of
the American imagination.
The long exposure and the levitation effect transform an everyday scene into a vision
suspended between reality and dream. The American architecture and the flag
evoke the symbols of a country where freedom is as much a promise as it is a
quest.
