[DORAT (Claude-Joseph)]. *Les Baisers*, preceded by the month of May, a poem. Rouen, J. Lemonnyer, 1880. An 8vo volume, full blue morocco, spine with raised bands richly decorated, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, all edges gilt, covers preserved (binding signed Bourdier). XXV, 106, 48 pp. Slight rubbing. A fine reprint of the 1770 edition, featuring a frontispiece by Eisen engraved by de Longueil, a title medallion, 22 vignettes and 22 end-piece illustrations by Eisen. A copy printed on laid paper, following 200 copies printed on large-format paper. “The masterpiece of the 18th century (...), illustrated with perfect taste and consummate grace” (Cohen, 308–311).
