LAMARTINE (Alphonse de). *Graziella*. Nice, L'Image littéraire, 1947. A quarto volume, in full havana morocco, with a four-ribbed spine, gilt head, and triple gilt fillet framing the sand-coloured moiré silk endpapers; covers and spine preserved, with a edged slipcase (binding signed R. Degoul). Slight fading of the etchings. 23 etchings by Pierre Leroy, both within the text and as inserts. A print run of 450 copies; this one is one of 350 printed on Johannot pure-fibre vellum. A fine copy, beautifully bound by Raymond Degoul, a bookbinder based on Rue des Grands Augustins in Paris from 1942 to 1950.
