BATAILLE (Henry). Resurrection. A dramatic play in five acts and a prologue, based on the novel by L. Tolstoy. Paris: Eugène Fasquelle, 1905. One in-12 volume, full Jansenist morocco, spine with five raised bands, gilt head, covers and spine preserved, gilt frieze framing the endpapers, edged slipcase (binding signed G. Vauthrin). One joint cracked over 5 cm, slight scuffing.. First edition of this stage adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s famous novel *Resurrection*. One of six copies printed on Japon paper, the only one on heavy paper.
