[French Revolution] Act of the Legislative Body, not subject to the King’s approval, declaring that the Fatherland is in danger. Issued in Paris, 12 July 1792, in the 4th year of Liberty. Bourg-en-Bresse, printed by C.C.G. Philipon. 37.5 x 44.5 cm. Fold marks, small areas of paper missing. “Numerous troops are advancing towards our borders: all those who abhor liberty are taking up arms against our Constitution; Citizens, the Fatherland is in danger. May those who are to have the honour of marching first to defend what is most dear to them always remember that they are French and free…” With: [Ain] [Saône-et-Loire] The Representatives of the People, sent to the Army of the Alps and to various departments of the Republic. Mâcon, printed by Saphoux, 12 Frimaire Year II [1793].
