ALBUM AMICORUM. An oblong in-12 volume, red morocco leather, decorated spine, gilt frieze framing the covers with a central medallion on the front cover inscribed ‘A l’amitié / S.F.H.’, gilt edges. Internal hinge split, repairs, slight soiling. A collection of handwritten poems composed in Strasbourg (mainly in German) by a circle of friends between 1822 and 1857. They are illustrated with 19 coloured engravings, 2 gouaches and 3 embroidered flowers.
