[GARD / DIOCESE OF ALAIS] – Pastoral letter from Jean-Louis du Buisson de Beauteville, Bishop of Alais, ordering prayers within his diocese for the repose of the soul of King Louis XV (issued in Paris on 17 May 1774). Handwritten notebook, 24 pages, 17 of which are written on, 25x18 cm. Beautiful handwriting, ornate initial Jean-Louis du Buisson de Beauteville (Mirepoix 1708–Alès 1776) was a French prelate, Bishop of Alais from 1755 until his death.
