[MEDICINE AND HYGIENE / MANUSCRIPT] - Handwritten notes on health, hygiene, diet and numerous medicinal recipes (capillary syrup for the common cold, purgatives), notes on melancholy, the humours, the condensation and rarefaction of air, etc. Approximately 350 pages in the same anonymous hand, in fine cursive script; the edges are damaged but the texts are complete and very legible. Numerous references to classical authors (Hippocrates, Galen, Apicius, etc.) as well as anecdotes taken from various works on records of longevity: ‘Denis Gaillard died in 1760 at the age of 124.
