[CHARLES DE GAULLE / MURUROA] – A substantial collection of 172 photographs of the ‘Betelgeuse’ test, which Charles de Gaulle ordered to be carried out on 11 September 1966 on the Mururoa Atoll whilst aboard the command cruiser De Grasse. A member of the expedition photographed the ship, the General, the crew and the tests, and produced a photo report on the neighbouring island of Tahiti (portraits, traditional dances, scenes of daily life, etc.).
