[THE QUEEN’S NECKLACE AFFAIR] – 1 set of 17 in-8 pamphlets printed on the Queen’s Necklace Affair (1786). - Plea on behalf of Monsieur de Bette d’Étienville. Plea on behalf of Jeanne de Saint-Rémy de Valois, wife of the Count de La Motte. Supporting documents for the Cardinal de Rohan. Further observations by Mademoiselle d’Olivia (in Lima). Summary of the case against the Countess of Valois-La Motte, brought against the prosecuting Attorney General in the presence of His Eminence the Cardinal de Rohan, etc. An eulogy to Louis Dauphin of France (1766) is enclosed. The Affair of the Queen’s Necklace was a case of fraud that took place between 1784 and 1786 at the French court.
