[MILITARIA / BRITISH UHLAN REGIMENT] - Set of 10 letters addressed to Count Étienne Maurice d’Argout, who emigrated to England, first to Humble-le-Rice near Southampton and then to the London neighbourhood of Cavendish Square (1795–1796). Also included are 3 letters addressed to the Chevalier de Saint-Maurice, who was living at Queen Anne Street in London (1795). Some water stains and small tears. An interesting collection of personal correspondence from this captain of the British Uhlans, born in La Côte-Saint-André in 1756 and who died in Saint-Domingue in 1798.
