[RESISTANCE / LEAFLETS] - Set of 24 resistance leaflets distributed during the Vichy regime (1940–1943): 7 issues of the newspaper *L’Humanité* (1940), 2 special editions, 4 Communist leaflets (1940, 1943); one copy of *Lutter et Vaincre* (1942); the manifesto of the Committee for the Unoccupied Zone of the National Front for the Struggle for the Independence of France; the iconic leaflet by the radical pacifists, “Paix Immédiate” (“Immediate Peace”), initiated by Louis Lecoin and co-signed by Jean Giono; a small poster entitled “Mass round-up of labour activists in the Paris region” dating from before June 1941. Included are copies of *Libération* (1941), *Franc-Tireur* (January 1942) and *Défense de la France* (nos. 25 and 28), as well as seven small printed documents from the same period. A rare collection of ephemera circulated underground, which clearly illustrates the dual nature of the Communist movement before and after the breakdown of the German-Soviet Pact.
