Antique Louis XIV scale. Large double pan gilt brass balance, suspended from a beam and a blackened cast iron structure, resting on a rectangular stained wood base.
Louis XIV period.
Provenance: La Rochepot, Château de Bourgogne.
With documents indicating a purchase from the antique dealer Pierre Androt in Beaulieu-sur-mer in 1956.

Soiling, missing parts and accidents.
The flail is partially pitted, the base of the cast-iron structure is missing and the black coating is partially missing.
