* Issued in March 1962, SPECIAL SECRET ISSUE, for the first trials of automatic letter sorting. The only French stamp to be issued in this way: paper treated with a fluorescent liquid that reacts to Wood's lamp - too costly a product, the project was abandoned and replaced by bars printed in flexography on the stamps using phosphorescent ink.
