REINISCH Werner (1930–2025), Composition, print 10/30, signed, dated 93, 12.5 x 17.5 cm. Framed. Of German origin but born in Czechoslovakia, Reinisch settled in France in 1962/1963 and worked for seven decades (from the 1960s to the 2020s). Although the artist himself rejected any categorisation, his works form part of the Art Informel movement, which is itself rooted in the Expressionist tradition. Spontaneity, emotion and a playful engagement with figurative elements lie at the heart of his creative approach.
