A sixteen-ribbed fan made of ivory (Elephantidae spp., listed in Annex I/A of the EU CITES Convention), dating from before the Convention came into force, re-pierced, painted and gilded; the fan face is made of gouache-painted paper featuring scenes of elegant couples in landscapes.
