A pre-Convention carved ivory sculpture (Elephantidae spp., listed in Annex I/A of the EU CITES) depicting a young mother standing with one foot on a tree stump, breastfeeding her child whom she holds in her arms.
Made in Japan, Meiji period (1868–1912), circa 1880–1890
