FRANCE, Second Empire. A ‘musician’s’ table clock in gilded bronze with black marble veneer. White enamelled dial, with Roman numeral hour markers. Bayonet bezel. Mechanical movement with key winding. Plate bearing the inscription ‘VINCENT & Cie, Médaille d’argent’. Hanging by a wire. Height: 43.5 cm. Cracks at the figure’s right ankle; wear and stains, scratches; a few strands of hair on the dial; chipping, a few chips and cracks in the marble.
