A Louis XVI-style mantelpiece in white marble, decorated with foliage and beaded friezes, a gilded bronze plaque depicting two cherubs, and flanked by four small columns surmounted by urns. The ovoid white marble cassolettes are flanked by ram’s heads and hooves on a tripod base. The lids can be turned over to form candlesticks (one of the compartments has been broken and re-glued). 19th century. 38 x 24 x 12 cm.
