René LETOURNEUR (1898-1990). Harmonie, II (1975). Paros marble, carved from a fragment of an antique. Wooden base. 51 x 30 x 22 cm. Listed 89-94 in the reference work. Collection of Madame and Monsieur Deschamps. This is the original Harmonie II, carved directly in Paros marble. The bronze edition resulting from the enlargement of this marble is known as follows: - Proof no. 1/8, which belongs to the collection of the New York Film Academy; - Proof no. 2/8, installed in front of the old stables in the Parc de Sceaux; - Print no. 3/8, in the collection of the Museo Fiermontina in Lecce. The first version of the work, Harmonie I, was exhibited at the Salon de la jeune sculpture en marbre in 1973.
