Description
Georges Lemmen 1865–1916. Still Life with Fruit. Oil on panel. Signed with a monogram in the lower right-hand corner and dated April 1908. 42 x 68 cm (slightly convex panel). On the reverse, an old label from the Ixelles Museum. A Belgian Neo-Impressionist painter, he turned away from Divisionism after 1895, preferring an Impressionist style with tones similar to those of the Nabis painters.
