A sword of the ‘Pair de France’ type. Tapered blade with polished bone inlays. Chiselled, gilded brass fittings. Round pommel, decorated with flowers within recesses. Single-branch crossguard. Guard featuring a cockerel within a crowned wreath of foliage, framed by cornucopias and a garland of flowers. Triangular blade, engraved, gilded and blued to one-third of its length. Leather scabbard with two cut-out brass fittings, decorated with line engraving. BE, Louis-Philippe period (restorations, wear to the leather)
