Description
André Charles NAULEAU (1908–1986). Still Life with Fruit. Oil on canvas, signed lower right. 54.5 x 65 cm Montparnasse frame (chip) André Charles NAULEAU (1908–1986) was a painter from the Vendée region, born in La Roche-sur-Yon. He exhibited for the first time in 1927, at the inaugural Salon de La Roche-sur-Yon. From the 1940s onwards, his style evolved towards a more turbulent style of painting, which earned him growing recognition, particularly through his participation in Parisian art exhibitions. In the 1960s, his work gradually became more subdued. In 1975, he celebrated fifty years of artistic creation with a retrospective entitled *A Half-Century of Vendée Impressions*.
