FRENCH SCHOOL First third of the 19th century Ossuary Black pencil and brown wash (minor creases). Signed (?) in black pencil lower right; numbered in pen lower left 228 H. 22 – L. 24 cm Also included is a work attributed to Eugène CICERI (1813–1890), ‘Study of a cloister with a monk and a villager’, in black pencil and grey wash, annotated ‘Germain d’Auxerre’ in the lower left-hand corner. (19 x 21 cm) and ‘Ciceri’ on the reverse. Also included is a study of a chapel in the countryside in black pencil (a small tear in the top left margin; creases and slight foxing; 22 x 19 cm).
