Paul Marie LENOIR (1843-1881) Japanese woman with fan Oil on canvas 33.5 x 26 cm Our painting bears two inscriptions on the back: - This sketch was made in 1872 in Neuilly at Théophile Gautier's house by the painter Lenoir, a pupil of Gérôme, and a school friend of mine.
