Solid silver serving spoon, plain flat pattern, made in Périgueux, probably during
the reign of Louis XV.
It is hallmarked :
. Crowned P/B jurande hallmark which could have been used between 1762 and 1775. In effet,
the P/A hallmark is inscribed in November 1762; there is no mention of the P/B hallmark and the
P/C mark is attributed by Jean and Jacques Clarke de Dromantin to the juré garde Jean Fauvergé,
elected in 1775.
. Goldsmith's hallmark LM under a sun for Louis Montauson, received master around 1760 and
still active in 1781.
. Mark resembling a boot not listed, perhaps a charge mark used during the "P/B" period.
