Description
PLAYING CARDS Set of 5 Tarot de Marseille cards (the Emperor, La papese, La maison, La carrossa and Il penduto arcana) from different decks. The iconography is similar to that of the Jean Doval deck. Invoices and receipts relating to the game are included, as well as a manuscript from 1782 closed by a card, the Royal Declaration of 1703 on the tax of 12 deniers on the sale of each pack of cards, and a few old cards, one of which bears the inscription Majorel Juge mage on the reverse.
