CHINA, Canton – early 20th century A silver tea service comprising three pieces: a teapot with a hinged top handle, a lidded sugar bowl with side handles, and a milk jug. The spherical body of each piece features repoussé, engraved and hammered decoration depicting bamboo foliage and birds on branches. The handles, grips and spouts are shaped to resemble bamboo stalks. Silversmith’s hallmark beneath the base: 06HM and XING YUAN. For export. Total gross weight: 964 g
