Elegant gilded bronze hand mirror with painted enamel decoration Art Nouveau style (circa 1900) A circular, hand-held dressing mirror in chiselled and gilded bronze, presented in its original case lined with emerald-green velvet. The reverse is adorned in the centre with a large round medallion of painted enamel on copper, depicting the profile of an elegant woman with chestnut-coloured hair, wearing a jeweled tiara set with red and green cabochons. The medallion is set within a broad moulding chiselled with stylised laurel leaves. Monogrammed ‘L’ on the enamelled field to the right of the profile. The tapered handle is richly chiselled with floral motifs and balusters, ending in a hinged hanging ring. Dimensions: 26 x 9.5 cm
