Fragment of a suzani, Uzbekistan, Bukhara, early 20th century. A long strip of unbleached cotton fabric, probably a doorpost, sewn in three strips and embroidered with polychrome silk threads of large brightly coloured floral scrolls flanked by serrated leaves and framed by two friezes of foliage at the edge.
