Large copper bowl with calligraphic decoration, Ottoman Egypt or Syria. A hammered copper bowl with a narrow neck and flared lip. On the neck runs a frieze of calligraphic cartouches containing a prayer in Arabic and alternating calligraphic and plant medallions, the decorations on a guilloche background.
