Spectacular ‘Seagull’ in white glazed porcelain, depicting the bird on a wave. On a square, waxed wooden plinth. Marked with crossed blue swords at the base.
Based on a 1930s design (damage and restoration to the tip of one wing; signs of wear).
Height: 42.5 cm x Width: 25 cm
The sculptor Max Esser created designs for the Meissen Manufactory between 1920 and 1926, which were also produced in Böttger stoneware.
